Today I Wish to talk about Kombucha. That is obviously utterly unrelated to those Banana Oatmeal Cookies, however I understand you won't obey.

However, for some reason, I continue trying it. I Would like to like it SO DANG BAD.

They have the perfect amount of banana taste and a lovely chewy feel because of its oats. The chocolate chips are only an additional bonus.

I like these cookies a little about the side, therefore that I bake them for 9 or 10 seconds. If you prefer them to be cooked through, I would take for 10-11 seconds.

BANANA OATMEAL COOKIES



PRINT RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup unsalted butterat room temperature

1 cup packed light brown sugar

1 large egg

3/4 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 medium)

1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon





DIRECTIONS:



In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, or in a big bowl with an electric mixer, beat the sugar and butter until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl and then blend in the egg until fully incorporated. Scrape the sides of the bowl and add the skillet and vanilla.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.

Gently add the bread mixture to the banana mixture and mix until just blended.

Scrape the sides of the bowl and then stir to recombine.



Use a medium cookie scoop (approximately 1.5 tablespoons) to scoop the dough on prepared cookie sheets leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.

Bake in preheated oven for about 9-11 minutes.

Remove cookies from the oven and gently press on the shirts of each cookie with the base of a drinking glass. Since these cookies don't spread much, this will banana biscuits give them a traditional cookie form.

Enable the banana oatmeal cookies to cool on the cookie sheets for 5 minutes before removing them to a wire rack to cool completely.
